ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allotted 870 Kanal land in E-11, and D-11 for the construction of new General Headquarters (GHQ) in Islamabad.
According to media reports, this property was allotted in perspective of approval given in 1972 for shifting GHQ from Rawalpindi to Islamabad.
GHQ will pay the amount of Rs 6 billion for this land in four installments to CDA, The land was approved during CDA
board commit
tee meeting.
The constructio
n work of new
GHQ building will be carried out by NLC and FWO while the alternative plots will be allotted to locals of sectors E-11 and
D-11 in two sub- sectors of Sector H-16 in return for their land.
