GUJRANWALA: A woman was critically injured after sh
e was reportedly set on
fire by her mother in law and her husband’s sister in Gujranwala on We
dnesday.
Sources stated that her husband’s mother and her daughter poured fuel on her before lighting her on fire.
Doctors said that fif
ty percent of her body had sustained burn injuries and her condition was critical.
The injured woman was shifted after receiving basic treatment from Gujranwala
to a hospital in Lahore.
Police stated that the women got married back in 2015 and disputes were a regular part of the household.
A case has been registered against the suspects, police authorities added.
