LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood said on Monday that his statement regarding Basant was misquoted by
the media, a local news channel reported.
According to Mashhood, Basant was going
to be held in Lahore in stages a
nd was to be celebrated in specific areas only.

Earlier, the minister – while talking to media at National Hockey Stadium – had said that as member of the Basant committee, ‘kites will be flown soon in Lahore’.
