ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday seized narcotics weighing more than 10 tonnes and worth Rs 18 billion in four operations carried out in Multan, Karachi, Pishin and Qilla Abdullah.
The operations also resul
ted in the arrest of
three people and seizure of one vehicle. The recovered drugs comprised 10 tonnes of opium,
three Kg of heroin and 47 Kg of hashish.
Quetta ANF seized 10 tonnes of opium while carrying out two separate operations in District Pishin and Qilla Abdullah. The force raided two different sites, which included Killi Yarkar in Tehsil Karizaad, District Pishin and Killi Dolangi in Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah. They discove

31 Kg and 6150 Kg of opium respectively. Both drugs caches were stocked in uninhabited areas. According to sources, the drug consignments were to be dispatched to an unidentified location after being handed over to drug rings.
Lahore ANF intercepted a Nissan Sunny near Javed Hotel Bahawalpur Chowk, Southern Bypass, Multan and recovered
three Kg of heroin conc
ealed in it. The operation also resul
ted in the arrest of Asma Bibi and Muhammad Nadeem, both residents of Multan.
Karachi ANF raided an area near Al-Asif Square, Super Highway, Karachi and arrested Malik, a resident of Quetta. Hashish was conc
ealed in plastic bags within his luggage.
