Prime Minister Imran Khan will be leaving for China on Thursday (today) on an official visit.
According to the visit schedule, the prime minister will be given a guard of honour at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on November 2, while he will also meet President Xi Jinping the same evening. A one-on-one meeting betwee
n the two leaders will be followed by the delegation-level talks. The prime minister is also scheduled to meet
a Chinese business delegatio
n the same evening.
On November 3, the prime minister will attend the foundation laying ceremony of a monument being constructed i
n the honour of great heroes of China at the Tiananmen Square. Later, he will visit the Great Hall of the People for a meeting with Chinese Pre
mier Li Keqiang. The meeting will be followed by a lunch hosted by the Chinese premier i
n the honour of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his delegation. The prime minister will also deliver his reception speech o
n the occasion. I
n the evening, the prime minister will interact with top leaders from the Chinese corporate sector.
On November 4, Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit a public school in Beijing and also deliver a spe
ech there. I
n the afternoon, he will leave for Shanghai.
On November 5, the prime minister will attend the opening ceremony of Shangha
i Import Expo 2018 and will also deliver a keynote address. O
n the sidelines of the ceremony, he will meet heads of Chinese companies. He is also scheduled to meet Vietnamese prime minister o
n the occasion. I
n the afternoon, he will address the Pakistan Business Council. I
n the evening, the prime minister will fly back to Pakistan.
